Internationalization remains important as a strategy of the institution. Raising Global Citizens is the first objective of the institutional plan of HAN. HAN states ‘By the end of 2027, students will know that they are not only acquiring knowledge and practical skills; they are also developing on a personal and social level and can reflect on how they can make a difference’. In order to achieve this the study programs integrate Global Citizenship and internationalisation into the curricula to ensure all students develop international competencies. In addition, HAN provides students and lecturers with the opportunities to spend time abroad during their studies. BIPs are now strategically embedded within the study programs and are no longer considered as just a nice opportunity. BIPs are seen as a tool for further internationalizing modules and building preferred partnerships.
