The project supported Erasmus University Rotterdam’s internationalisation strategy by fostering sustainable collaborations with higher education institutions across various world regions. Each faculty pursued goals aligned with its discipline. Erasmus Medical Centre prioritised partnerships in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa to advance research and education in infectious diseases, gastroenterology, hepatology, and HIV cure research, while training future health science researchers. The International Institute of Social Studies deepened cooperation with Ecuador through joint degrees, PhD supervision, and research on sustainable development in the Amazon region. Erasmus School of Law extended collaborations with Ukraine and Israel, embedding mobility in initiatives like the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and the ATLAS PhD Summer School. Erasmus School of Economics focused on a strategic partnership with the University of Tehran, linking teaching mobility to joint research in trade and development economics. The project enhanced mobility, promoted innovative education and research, and contributed to inclusive, global academic development.
