Objectives

Internationalization is an essential part of UU strategy because it equips students and staff with the competencies needed for the future in our increasingly globalized society. An international environment promotes a stimulating academic and intellectual climate, an open attitude among staff and students and the expansion of scientific knowledge; Internationalization is a requirement for the quality of education and research, and its societal impact: a better world. KA171 is a very relevant instrument in our internationalization strategy. ECHE principles help us provide service and guidance for international students and staff. UU students obtain non-Eurocentric learning experience in the international classroom created by incoming students and incoming teaching staff. KA171 mobilities contribute to solving global problems, which requires collaborating with partners in the Global South. The main goal is to enhance UU’s social impact by contributing to a sustainable world, offering non-western academics opportunities they may not have in their own academic environment, and sharing European values. It will enhance the diversity of UU’s knowledge outside the Eurocentric framework and contribute to our international visibility.
