Tilburg & Roosevelt universities applied for this project due to the long & successful history of collaboration since 2013, a project focused on increasing bilateral student & staff mobility. Both partners sought to strengthen their international endeavors by increasing international mobility opportunities for staff & students, assisted by Erasmus+ funding. This project met this aim & reignited international teaching work, which had stalled during the pandemic. Tilburg & Roosevelt are both dedicated to providing students with academic & life skills to succeed in a global world; this project enabled us to foster global awareness & understanding & prepare our students for living & working in a global society. Within the US higher education market, Roosevelt aims to profile itself as an exceptional higher education option for students & staff, increasing the numbers & quality of students & staff. To achieve this, Roosevelt must increase its visibility in the domestic & global market. Offering the opportunity for international mobility to first-generation students from less privileged backgrounds (98% of their students) as part of Roosevelt’s internationalization strategy is a key component in meeting this aim.
