The following objectives had been set for the BINGOGREEN project: • Creating more awareness on sustainable skills and healthy lifestyle among children between 4-12 years old • Creating more awareness on sustainable skills and healthy lifestyle among teachers in school education • Creating a sense of ownership within the children of their own healthy lifestyle and sustainable skills at an early age • Developing an innovative learning approach... ...where children are involved in both the creation as well as the execution of the learning content ...that involves the direct environment of the children (parents, siblings, neighbours etc.) ...that starts within school and continues outside of school ...fits with the experiences of the children ...that motivates through gamification ...provide practical tools and steps that promote the development of sustainable skills and a healthier lifestyle
BINGOGREEN addresses the urgent need for healthier and more sustainable lifestyles among children. Schools play an important role in shaping future generations, and our project focuses on SDGs 3 and 4, promoting health and quality education. Rising child obesity rates and related health issues demand a comprehensive approach. Our Go Healthy Toolbox and the innovative Bingogreen Methodology engage children through gamified learning, creating ownership and responsibility. By involving students in completing challenges in the field of a healthy lifestyle and sustainability after school time, we aim to create greater awareness of sustainable habits. This approach ensures that students, parents, and teachers are aligned, leading to lasting changes in behaviour and positively impacting the well-being of entire communities. We envisioned our schools becoming role models of health education, inspiring others to prioritize sustainable skills and healthy living.
