BCH4VET: Adapting the teaching of basic computer programming concepts for the modern-age digital economy and labor market in vocational settings. Its aimed include the harmonization of vocational education and training (VET) curricula with blockchain and AI technologies, and the provision of tailored technical, non-technical and cross-disciplinary skills to learners. The project facilitated the use of cutting-edge teaching strategies involving gamification and digital tools benefiting learning engagement and performance. It also developed an AI-powered assessment platform to offer personalized feedback that enables educators to track progress and support learners effectively. They are designed to be inclusive, encouraging the participation of women, migrants and people with disabilities and therefore driving gender parity and reducing inequities in the tech labor market. The project promoting digital transformation in VET as it indexes educators’ digital competencies and creates quality learning environments. And sustainability principles are integrated into the curriculum to align with EU aims to build a future-ready, skilled workforce.
We applied for the BCH4VET project to address key gaps in vocational education and training (VET) that hinder adaptation to the digital age and Industry 4.0. Existing curricula lacked alignment with labor market demands, especially in Blockchain technology, and traditional assessment methods failed to provide personalized feedback. Educators and students faced digital skill gaps, limiting their engagement with modern tools, while conventional teaching methods lacked innovation and often failed to motivate learners. Additionally, underrepresented groups, such as women, migrants, and individuals with disabilities, encountered barriers to accessing quality education. The project aimed to tackle these challenges by developing a modular VET program, an AI-powered assessment platform, and a gamification-based e-learning system to enhance learning, inclusivity, and employability. These tools sought to align education with market needs, foster digital transformation, and provide equitable opportunities across Europe.
