The project aimed to achieve several objectives through its implementation. These objectives included: Raising ecological awareness among young Europeans. Educating them about climate change and the importance of environmental protection. Engaging young people and demonstrating that they could make a genuine impact on contemporary social issues. Equipping participants with the necessary tools to work towards these goals effectively. Additionally, the project's choice of location, St. Maarten, played a crucial role in achieving these objectives. The island's significance lay in being one of the most affected areas by global warming, following the Arctic region. This allowed participants to witness firsthand the environmental changes caused by climate change. Moreover, like many other oceanic islands, St. Maarten faced problems associated with climate change, particularly rising sea levels. The project strongly believed that environmental degradation and climate change had a significant impact on coastal countries worldwide, albeit with varying characteristics in each case.
