Dance Your Colours! was a project aiming to support community development and social inclusion of marginalised youngsters using the tools of body movement and dance as a universal language that connects people beyond their differences. After two successful projects DancIN! (2019) and MovIN! (2021), our aim was to create a third edition that would put into practice our learnings and experience from the previous projects and allow us to carry out a project of a high quality and value. In this edition, our main intention was to create an even more measurable impact in the local communities and to deepen our cooperation with the local stakeholders and organisations through a series of local actions. While in the first two projects the aim was to use body movement and dance as a tool of creating connection and acceptance, this time, we went one step further and explored movement as a tool for embracing diversity and authentic self-expression. The target group were marginalized youngsters - who, due to a number of obstacles, often struggle with their full inclusion in society and their sense of belonging. As a result, they have low confidence and are unsure of how they relate to society and what is (or could be) their role in it. The idea of this project was to use dance and movement as a tool of expressing the uniqueness that each person has within and embracing the diversity we create when we come together. Through participation in this project, the youngsters acquired new skills, competences, and attitudes which have helped them to improve their self-esteem, broaden their personal and professional horizons and enhance their role in society. Our previous experiences as well as this edition has shown us how empowering it is to give youngsters the space to take initiative and create something for others. By organising and participating in the activities, they taught, learnt and inspired each other, while having a first-hand experience of living in a community with all its elements. The learning of the participants was happening on two levels: the first level was created by the program - through activities and workshops participants share and explore various dance and body movement styles and forms as a tool for attracting and including people. The second level of learning was given by the context of living together and happened naturally: participants directly experienced the process of building a community - from a group of 54 strangers gradually turning into a community that lives, dances, cooks, cleans, and takes decisions together. Using the tools of experiential learning, coaching, and embodiment, we intended to create a safe space where youngsters feel free in their self-expression, and are appreciated for their colours: their unique personality and their way of contributing to the world. The original objectives of the project were following: • To gather 10 group leaders: youth workers, and members of youth organisations (21+ years old) in the PV in order to design and plan the YE and local actions • To gather 54 youngsters in the YE (21-30 years old), while making sure that 80 % of the group is with fewer opportunities • To create a platform for mutual inspiration and sharing ideas about how to use dance and body movement in order to attract young people and support their social inclusion • To support partner organisations and local actors by expanding their network of contacts and enriching their methodology for the work with the target group • To support participants' personal and professional growth and future prospects by developing new competencies, skills and attitudes • To involve local stakeholders in all countries and support their activity through a series of local actions organised by the participants • To facilitate an exchange of inspiration between the local dance communities in all partner countries through the series of local actions • To create 9 visual materials with the topic of dance and body movement as a tool of embracing diversity • To create 9 articles promoting Erasmus+ program written by the national teams and published on the online platforms of the partner organizations • To create a video introducing the project and promoting Erasmus+ opportunities
