The project was designed by 8 active youth workers with different levels of experience, mentored and coordinated by Klaudia (RO). The project team was formed during two previous projects: “Fund your IdE+a” TC organized in October 2021 (Costinesti, Romania), and the “Power Up your Health” TC organized in Dec 2021 - Jan 2022 (Sint Maarten, The Netherlands) where Klaudia and Mesut developed a long term partnership based on discussions on the KA2 project organized previously. During the mentioned projects, we vividly discussed how digitalization influences the life of YP all over the world. We understood, there are some knowledge gaps and we identified the need to educate YP, what cyberbullying is, how it can be prevented and tackled, and how to navigate safely in the digital world. YP, especially from non privileged areas, experience a lack of awareness of the topic of cyberbullying. As YW of the European community, we felt strongly alarmed by this harmful tendency and we initiated a positive change and empowered YW and their organizations to prevent and combat cyberbullying in their communities through a strategic 8 day training course. Our 8-day training course in partnership with 7 partner organizations, engaged 23 active youth workers. Our objectives that we successfully achieved, for the full length of the project were: 1. 23 YW acquired knowledge about applicable non formal education methods that help them to prevent and combat cyberbullying in their groups/communities. YW can apply and use the knowledge they gained within their organization activities and when working with YP informal and nonformal groups. 2. 23 YW developed their skills in NFE methods and how to implement them in their daily work to prevent and combat cyberbullying, through this, developing their organization’s capacity in preventing and combating cyberbullying in their social communities (schools, child homes, scouts groups, families, formal and informal youth groups). 3. 23 YW acquired awareness about the importance of their role as YW and representatives of their organizations, as well as the importance of preventing cyberbullying. Through this, we empowered YWs to create a long-lasting positive change in their communities. 4. We created a support network that further addresses cyberbullying through community-based and European initiatives. The objectives of this project support the aim, objectives and priorities of the E+ program, KA1 and our main focus was to serve them through our initiative. We focused greatly on the priorities of the EU’s strategy for 2019-2027 through this project, particularly on: 1. Increasing engagement, connection and empowering the youth through YWs and their organization’s work to participate actively in tackling the social issues of their community, country and Europe, with focus on preventing and combating cyberbullying. 2. Creating non-formal and informal learning opportunities for YW and building a community of YW, who can exchange their knowledge and skills, support each other, when approaching the topic of cyberbullying in their communities. 3. Working within the diversity and inclusion objectives by engaging YP and YW with different backgrounds and from different communities. Awareness about preventing and tackling cyberbullying can be shared with YP who experience geographical barriers (rural areas, small islands, outermost regions), economic disadvantage, and are socially stepped out because of their family situation. 4. Helping YW and YP to better accommodate themselves in the current digital transformation era.
