Objectives

The goal of this Erasmus+ programme was capacity building of youth workers through a training called CLIPS-training. This training was ment to inspire participating Youth Workers to lead change and community processes with youth groups in new ways that correspond to the current demands and needs of society as well as building their own competences. CLIPS methods offer pathways on how to navigate in the I - WE dichotomy, how to guide community building processes, set solid intentions and establish structures, that all lead to stronger people to work with young people. This contributes to the trust and confidence of people in themselves and others which positively influences their quality of work, their assertiveness, mutual understanding, and maintains a healthy work balance. This CLIPS program was ment to provide a framework for the incubation and improvement of groups and organisations which includes a guide in which group processes, their challenges, and a selection of corresponding insights and tools are described. The material had been collected from 30 years of experiences in various ecovillages from Europe. This material has proven to be very useful in the former KA2 partner countries, therefore the training format KA1 was proposed, to train youth workers, so that the material become useful in our current days, in different types of situations in our organisations and countries, with a special focus on sustainability and with youth as the main target group, since they are our future. The MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS of this training were: capacity building of participating organisations to assist youth workers in initiating projects that could grow, succeed and thrive through challenging areas. Exchanging good practices, creating opportunities for synergies among the participants, the partner organisations, and their networks, thus building and strengthening a network of youth workers among partners. - Targeting those who created the conditions for young people to engage in activities that fostered their individual development and sustainable development. Promoting the obtaining of the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that are necessary for quality youth work related to sustainability. Providing them with learnings on human relationships, power issues, communication, group dynamics, and cooperation, deployable in Youth worker personal/social life but also in their professional life to develop solid social skills which greatly increases the chances of the projects they support. The OBJECTIVES of this project were: To transfer and transform the methods and tools from ecovillage experiences to new youth initiatives, assisting them to grow and help them thrive, through the training where participants improve skills in their work with youth groups, using the CLIPS methodology. To make the CLIPS programme more known to more youth workers and their organisations, thereby expanding its scope and outreach which supports a more cohesive and a more sustainable green and social Europe. To gain an understanding of participatory governance: how to structure a group, a network or a decentralised organisation. To share methods and tools that support learning and working with young people. To train participants in collaborative leadership: development of personal and collective skills. To strengthen the facilitation skills of participants by giving them feedback on their facilitation. To create contacts with other close-by partner organisations that offered potential partners for future projects and cooperation.
