Background

The context of the project and the organization (ALF a.s.) is centered around adult education and employment support. ALF a.s. is a non-governmental organization established in 1999 with a mission to assist individuals in gaining employment. The organization's motto, "We give people work (Vi får folk i arbeid)," underscores our commitment to providing training, support, and job placement services to different categories of individuals, including disadvantaged youth. ALF a.s. primarily serves adults 25-40 years old. However, we also work with younger beneficiaries in their early 20s, particularly school dropouts and individuals who have finished formal education but face challenges in entering the job market. Additionally, we support adults with mental health issues, individuals who have recovered from serious illnesses, ex-convicts seeking reintegration, and run programs to support drug users. In summary, the context of the project and organization revolves around adult education, employment support, and social inclusion. ALF a.s. has a diverse range of projects and works with various learner profiles, including both youth and adults facing various barriers to employment.
