Our goals in this project were these four: Knowledge of, increased awareness to and action to reach the SDGs, in addition to ecological competences. Knowledge of and use of digital devices and software and enhanced digital skills. Fostering, development and the use of English and Spanish. Acknowledge our cultural and environmental heritage, and consciousness around social skills and citizenship.
Our school is a rather small public upper secondary school in Vestland County in the Hardanger region in Western Norway. We have a staff of about 35 and some 220 pupils, both in university-preparatory programs, and vocational programs. This project includes pupils and teachers from the former. We joined this project for several reasons. One, we want to prepare our pupils for their future studies and a more international work-life. Second, we have an obligation to make our pupils conscious of the changes we need to make in order to reach zero-emission. Our pupils also need to improve language skills and learn to see others, understand others and experience new learning methods. Last, we want our pupils and teachers to be better at cross-curricular learning and cooperation within our school.
