Objectives

The school had 3 objectives in applying for the project: 1. Pupils must become more motivated to complete the education and achieve better grades A stay abroad is exclusive, and has a motivating effect on schoolwork. We seem to have achieved this 2. More students must apply for an apprenticeship Many students on the horse line apply for the VG3 add-on/study specialization line after having completed VG1 and VG2 with a lot of practice and "an enjoyable" school day where they can cultivate their hobby. Both the industry and the school want to raise the status of obtaining professional certificates, and in the selection process for the stay abroad, we have emphasized the desire to learn and complete a vocational education. 3. Ensure a good learning outcome for the students By having contact with a stable in Spain, our teachers also get the opportunity to see other ways of running stables and get impulses to improve their teaching.

Background

Kalnes VGS is a school with essentially vocational education. In the vocational education, it is part of the students to be placed in a company for both shorter and longer periods. A placement abroad is a motivating factor for students to do well at school and an incentive to attract new students.
