Objectives

The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) is an international school, with approximately 800 students. Each fall, we welcome approximately 90 international students, of whom half are degree seeking students and half are exchange students, and each spring, we welcome an additional 15-20 new exchange students. The high number of international students on campus is of great value to our school, as the students bring with them new impulses and perspectives, raise the level of intercultural understanding and language skills in the student body and last, but not least, are potential future colleagues and friends. However, we also encourage our students to make use of the opportunity to go on mobility to one of our partner institutions, many of which are in the Erasmus+ program. Being in the Erasmus+ program continues to provide a great framework for student mobility and helps facilitate the management of mobility from and to our institution. The Erasmus+ program is also a great framework for staff mobility, and in recent years the interest among staff has increased significantly. We wanted to make use of the Erasmus+ program to continue to facilitate the flow of staff to partner institutions, which has had great value to AHO. Moreover, an increasing number of staff and students has become interested in Blended Intensive Programs and blended mobility in general. We wanted to support this interest and these initiatives, which already have had positive effects on networks, relationship to partners, on curriculum and last, but not least the individuals participating.
