Our main objective with this project is to increase the level of internationalisation at HVL and to strengthen the quality of education. It is important for us to support interaction between our staff and partner institutions in Europe and facilitate knowledge exchange and sharing of best practice. Students who have been on exchange prove to be more attractive on the labour market. Research shows that international mobility produces the kind of competence that employers wish for, but which might be difficult to express or recognize, such as productivity, resilience and curiosity. We believe that they also benefit personally by getting to know another culture, by improving language skills, by experiencing different teaching methods, etc. Staff members who go abroad gain insight to other teaching methods and have the opportunity to get contacts specialized in different fields of expertise. We encourage staff to use teaching/training mobilities to explore opportunities for research collaboration to achieve valuable spin-off effects. HVL strive to increase the scope of cooperation with strategic partners in Europe, and to strengthen networks with the aim of establishing strategic partnerships and other European collaborative actions
