International Credit Mobility is a kind of Erasmus mobility that fits very well to the international strategy of the University of Bergen (UiB). The university’s strategy highlights the importance of international cooperation in both research and education, and in this respect international mobility has played a central part in the university society since the early nineties. However it is a concern for the UiB that there is an imbalance with less incoming than outgoing student mobility between UiB and universities in partner countries. The ICM modality of Erasmus has been instrumental to reduce this problem and allow more incoming student mobility from many of our partner universities.
