The project aimed to enhance collaboration between VID Stavanger and various academic institutions in the Global South, particularly by strengthening research, student and staff mobility, and knowledge exchange in areas such as theology, religious studies, community development, and sustainability. Building on historical partnerships, the project sought to integrate PhD students into larger research clusters, emphasizing critical issues like migration and gender in their academic pursuits. The initiative aligned with VID's mission to promote international collaboration and capacity building, facilitating joint teaching, research, and outreach efforts that addressed global challenges such as poverty, inequality, and social change. Ultimately, the project aspired to create an empowered workforce capable of making meaningful contributions to society while fostering intercultural competence and awareness among participants
