Our primary aim was to conduct a thorough and well-crafted process to redesign the project's framework in a quality manner, and additionally to explore the possibilities for further funding. We have engaged 10 young sports leaders from both Norway and Sweden in the process, where the activities described in the activity plan of the application have been carried out. This has been an added factor to the work; not only have we achieved the goals of developing LYLP's conceptual framework and working through the funding aspect, but we have also ensured important learning for the young participants. They have experienced close cooperation across nations over time, with cultural exchanges and everything that entails.
LOLSC applied for Erasmus+ funding for further development of the Lillehammer Young Leaders Programme because we believe it is a project with great potential to establish itself sustainably, offering annual competence-building opportunities for young people both nationally and internationally. The needs we have identified over time include the importance of having arenas in the sports context that focus on experience exchanges, networking, competence building, and value-based thematic discussions across nations among young people. We aim to be a positive contributor to the shaping of future sports organizations and leaders, and we believe that LYLP is an important step on this path in the development journey of many young, engaged, and ambitious talents. Along this path, developing a quality and well-crafted project framework in LYLP is crucial, and the Erasmus+ funds have been essential for us to carry out this development work.
