Through the project, the school aimed to: 1) Gain knowledge and develop working methods that enable teachers to include and support students who have learning problems caused by dyslexia, emotional and behavioral disorders or developmental disabilities. 2) Develop coaching and mentoring skills, enabling the management staff to support teachers working with people with special educational needs. 3) Develop international cooperation and transfer the examples of good practices in teaching foreign languages, after an active observation of the work of organizations teaching adults with various educational needs. 4) Promote internationalization of education and an increase in language and intercultural skills of students thanks to hosting teachers with lower opportunities from outside of the EU for internships. 5) Improve the language and digital skills of adult learners with fewer opportunities and at risk of exclusion due to low key competences, through participation in an educational mobility.
The school specializes in teaching adults aged 18-70 who have completed formal education and need language skills for work, travel, or personal interests. Students also include those with fewer educational opportunities: the unemployed, seniors, and refugees. They receive free classes under aid projects. People living in rural areas (where there is no full educational offer) are also taking online classes. The number of adult students with special educational needs and non-standard learning styles is increasing. It is difficult for them to fit into group teaching. They are not only seniors but also people with concentration disorders, ADHD, dyslexia, etc. As an organization that teaches key competences such as foreign languages, intercultural and digital skills, the school responded to the new challenges in adult education, namely the need to internationalize education and introduce inclusive education. Our aim is to increase educational opportunities for all students by providing them with conditions for personal development, full inclusion in social life, and facilitating their free movement around Europe for work or further study.
