Through the implementation of the project, we wanted the teaching staff to improve their English skills to the extent that would allow them to use digital resources that are mainly based on English and thanks to which they could use applications or learning platforms, which would make lessons more attractive. Developing language competences will allow the teachers to establish international cooperation. In addition, we wanted teachers to expand their work skills with modern teaching methods and acquire the skills to use digital resources. We also wanted students to be able to work on important issues of environmental protection together with students from the partner school, to learn about the educational system of the host school's country, establish interpersonal relationships and improve their language skills.
The project "I am a teacher like you. Let's learn and teach together" was addressed to teachers who want to develop their linguistic, digital and methodological skills, as well as to students interested in ecology in the host country, who want to improve their language skills and learn about a new culture, traditions and educational system of the partner country. Our school is a general education school offering studies in various profiles, i.e. mathematics and computer science, biology and chemistry, linguistics, geography and history. There are 708 students aged 14-19 and 54 teachers working in our school. We are currently in the first place in our city in the category of the most frequently chosen high school in the city and we are characterized by a high level of education, high student achievement results and a 100% pass rate in the secondary school leaving examinations. Our teachers undertake a wide range of activities, organize inter-school debates and interest groups, prepare students for different competitions, and after two years of training, work as second-grade tutors, supporting the strengths of first-grade students.
