Objectives

Our goal was to expand the knowledge of ŚCDN employees, which we have used and will use in the future to share with others (employees, our recipients - principals, teachers), and through them also with students in the area of ecology, what we can introduce in our immediate professional and possibly private environment to be more pro-ecological and to take care of the natural environment. We wanted to show and draw attention to others inside and outside ŚCDN that the topic is important, and even small changes can lead to bigger changes, which in turn can improve our work and life for future generations as well. We also wanted, as an institution, to expand and make our offer more attractive for external customers.

Background

The Świętokrzyskie Center for Teacher Development in Kielce is a regional institution for teacher development that primarily serves teachers, school principals, and educational institution staff in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. We also carry out activities for students of Świętokrzyskie schools. We cooperate with various educational institutions and implement the policies of the Ministry of Education. The project Changing Today for a Better Tomorrow. Development of ŚCDN for Pro-Ecological Change" was aimed at the employees of ŚCDN. Its objectives and implementation aimed to emphasize the importance of issues related to ecology in today's world around us. The mobility of consultants and educators (courses, training) showed us how ecological activities are carried out in other countries, what we can apply in our institution as well as expanded our substantive knowledge. The undertaken activities (Ecological Days sustainable solutions in ŚCDN), meetings for directors and teachers allowed us to share knowledge and ideas with others also outside the institution. The developed international course program will be used in our offer next year and the special issue of the magazine "Inspiration" faciliteted the dissemination of the project
