By taking part in the project, we wanted to significantly improve the competences of the teaching staff and introduce a number of innovations to make our secondary school stand out from other schools in our region. The project was primarily concerned with raising teachers' linguistic competences in the use of a foreign language - English. The language skills acquired ranged from improving vocabulary related to the subject matter of the training, to grammatical issues and everyday life situations. Furthermore, we wanted to see how institutions of a similar type (secondary schools) operate in other European countries. This knowledge was extremely important for us, because as a school which is very popular among young people in Radom, we wanted to introduce a number of innovations which could significantly improve not only the quality of education itself, but also contribute to improving the mental state of students, which would be reflected in the amount of knowledge absorbed and the well-being of our charges. We also wanted to find out about techniques that our pupils could use not only at school, but also in their everyday lives, so that they could take care of their mental and physical well-being at all times.
Our organisation is the III Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. płk. Dionizego Czachowskiego in Radom. The main activities of our school are teaching young people, supporting their development and developing their interests. This is served, among other things, by numerous interest circles run by our teachers of various subjects. Our young people are involved in student government, voluntary work and the school newspaper 'Czachpress'. Our high school was the coordinator of the project 'I'm a H.E.R.O. (healthy - educated - responsible - open - minded)' as part of the Erasmus+ programme. The project dealt with the promotion of healthy lifestyles, the partners being schools from Greece, Romania and North Macedonia. By getting involved in the project 'Tomorrow begins today...', we wanted to focus on the personal and professional development of the teaching staff, which involves improving the quality of education, teaching and learning foreign languages, extending the educational offer of our school with attractive and interesting optional classes international relations in English as well as relaxation classes. In addition, the school needed to expand the range of activities related to improving the physical condition of pupils and teachers
