Objectives

When the project began, the school assumed that, through educational mobilities and accompanying activities, it would achieve the goals set in the concept design phase, responding to diagnosed educational needs and challenges. The school's priority was to increase the level of students' knowledge and skills, in line with the curriculum requirements, and to develop key competences, including social and civic skills, language competences, teamwork, cultural awareness, the ability to acquire and process information, and digital competences. The school, striving to provide equal educational opportunities and support for people in a more difficult situation, also intended to promote the integration of these people. The project aimed to strengthen the European dimension of education by developing existing activities within international cooperation and expanding the network to new countries and partner institutions. Additionally, it was expected that the project would contribute to increasing the potential of teaching and management staff, as well as improve the effectiveness of management and coordination of European educational projects.

Background

The project titled "Integration of two nations through dance and folk culture - French edition" was carried out by the Secondary School Complex No. 2 Vocational Education Center. Tadeusz Kościuszko in Łowicz in cooperation with the French partner school EPLEFPA Agricampus Var, Le lycée des Arcs sur Argens. This project was a continuation of activities within the School Education sector and responded to the needs of general education and the great interest of students in increasing their key competences and interests in the area of folk culture. 27 students of our school took part in the project about Polish and French culture, who, together with the youth of the host institution, learned and developed their talents and interests. Youth completed individual education programs aimed at building specific competences and acquiring knowledge in general subjects. The project was initiated in response to the needs identified by the school, aimed at increasing the attractiveness of general education and motivating young people to develop their skills not only in the professional aspect, but also in personal, cultural and social areas.
