Background

The Public Primary School in Łopiennik Nadrzeczny is a rural school with 237 students. We have a large group of students with problems related to motivation, lack of authority, exclusion, manifestations of xenophobia and intolerance. Students achieve low results in eighth-grade exams. The implementation of the project changed the current situation by improving the competences of the staff. Our teachers offer students innovative methods. They engage students in interesting and developing projects. The school organizes local events promoting the cultural and national diversity of European countries. Teachers learned and introduced modern methods of learning foreign languages. The implementation of the Erasmus+ project "Let's Get to Know Europe Together" was a step towards European cooperation, which has so far been carried out to a limited extent. The pandemic and other factors beyond our control have resulted in the relaxation of international contacts established in the past. The implementation of the project allowed employees to establish direct contacts.
