Through the implementation of the project, we aimed to develop our school and meet the needs of students and teachers, which included: the need for environmental education and raising awareness among students about climate protection, the need for increased civic engagement of teachers and students, creating a sense of belonging to the European community, equipping teachers with knowledge of programs and applications for online work and classroom activities, the need for digital skills development, and improving language competencies. By implementing the project, we wanted to make students and teachers aware of the importance of environmental care in the context of climate change. We aimed to introduce new educational activities related to ecology that would become a permanent part of the school schedule. Through multifaceted actions, we wanted to reach students and parents while also developing social skills. In summary, our goals were to develop pro-environmental attitudes among students, increase students' civic activity, use ICT in classes related to climate change and ecology, and improve English language proficiency. Additionally, we aimed to foster creativity among both students and teachers.
The school implemented activities in three thematic areas: natural environment and climate change; identity, citizenship, and European values; foreign languages. The project focused on broadly understood environmental education and raising awareness among students and teachers about climate protection. Primary School No. 12 implemented the project while caring for the comprehensive development of the institution. Effective implementation of pro-environmental activities and increasing civic engagement were our goals. We also considered the need to involve students in school life after the pandemic period. Another important aspect of the project was the development of digital skills among staff and the improvement of teachers' language skills. The project also involved the exchange of good practices and experiences. Through such activities, teachers participating in mobilities take care of their personal development. The staff had the opportunity to learn new innovative teaching methods, how to use new ICT tools and applications, and became acquainted with educational systems in Europe. The school aims for internationalization.
