Objectives

By participating in the project, we planned to achieve measurable effects, including: expanding the language skills of students and teachers through direct contacts with participants from European countries. As a result, students' motivation to learn increases and their interests continue to develop during further education. Expanding the language skills of the teaching staff during contacts with teachers from partner schools is coherent with the development of the bilingual profile of our school. As an educational institution, we recognize the necessity of changing habits and the motivation to take action to protect the climate, we recognize the lack of role models and lack of knowledge among young people. Through the implementation of the project, we aimed to increase ecological awareness in the local environment and to expand our offer of ecological education to include: participation in educational projects let young people will be able to build their attitude in an attractive way what will have a positive impact on the ecological awareness of their families, which will directly have a positive impact on the environment. We wanted to develop the school's infrastructure and, as a result, enrich the natural science education.

Background

Primary School Królowej Jadwigi is a primary school for students aged 6 to 14, located in a rural area near a large city. The location makes the local environment very diverse, and students come from both traditional agricultural backgrounds and well-off and educated families. Our main goal is to provide a high level of education for children and young people from diverse backgrounds, with particular emphasis on continuing education in secondary schools and learning foreign languages. For students from the 7th grade, we offer a bilingual English class. In the years 2009 - 2020, we implemented three projects as a partner in the School Education sector. The priority of both our school and the city council authorities is active ecological education, mainly implemented through local activities in the Zielonka Forest. Erasmus Plus project "Zieloni mi!" implemented with partner schools from Spain and Italy, it is dedicated to bilingual grade 7 students and is a continuation of previous experience and pro-ecological and pro-language education. The aim of the project is to further develop students' ecological, linguistic and cultural education.
