We wanted teachers to improve their English language competences by participating in language courses. We wanted as many teachers as possible to be able to participate in international projects and take part in methodological courses conducted in English. Methodological courses in the field of ICT were aimed at improving teachers' competences in this area, thanks to which they can conduct more interesting and valuable classes. We wanted students to participate more willingly in classes (including additional ones), which would lead to better results in their high school leaving exams and in subject competitions. The project was also aimed at increasing the motivation to work among teachers, preventing burnout, developing creativity among teachers and students, and maintaining the good position of the institution in the local community.
The main goals of our organization are comprehensive education of students, their personal development, emotional support for young people and preventive activities. Students attending our facility are aged 15-19. It is a general school that aims to ensure the comprehensive development of young people. Our high school has been at the lead of schools in Gdańsk and is eagerly chosen by talented and ambitious young people. Mathematics and IT classes are particularly popular, whose graduates are winners of numerous competitions and subject olympiads and gain admission to the most prestigious universities. We applied for funding for the project because we want to improve the quality of education in our school and motivate teachers to develop futher and improve their qualifications. We want to maintain the school's good position in the region and make teachers realize the importance of further education. Our project was mainly concerned with improving the quality of the school's work in the field of ICT, as surveys showed that this was the area most requiring improvement. Thanks to participation in the project, teachers were also able to improve their knowledge of English.
