Our first goal was to encourage students to engage in international project cooperation based on information and communication technology (specifically, the synergy of Erasmus+ and eTwinning). The second goal was closely related to the previous one, and concerned opening up young people to direct interpersonal and international contacts, including travel after the difficult time of the pandemic. This goal stemmed from the observations of teachers and, above all, the school's pedagogue and psychologist, who noticed a worrying decline in our students' involvement in any extra-curricular activities. The third challenge was related to ecology - our region is characterized by a high level of air pollution, which is caused by people's lack of awareness of the harmfulness of burning in coal stoves waste from furniture production, for which our region is famous. Particularly important for us was to change the awareness of students - future residents of Kepinski District, who in the future will decide for themselves about heating options and heat sources in their homes or apartments. We achieved these goals both during group mobility in Germany and Norway, as well as during the visit of a partner school from Norway.
The project titled "Crossing borders after the pandemic" was a response to the emptiness in the lives of students and teachers caused by the pandemic, as well as the implementation of the previous Erasmus+ project exclusively remotely. It offered young people a variety of sub-topics (related to ecology, modern technology, and psychology), which students chose on their own after introducing themselves and getting to know students from partner schools during video conferences. The project formed international groups focusing on aspects related to mental health, ecology and modern technology. The project was also intended to sustain partnerships that had existed for several years with schools in Germany and Norway, which had been weakened as a result of the pandemic. Our organization is a comprehensive high school, in which the following subjects are implemented in classes in the extended range: mathematics, physics, geography, biology, chemistry, Polish, history, foreign language - English and German. All students graduate from the school, taking the matriculation exams. The school has been ranked for years in the "Perspectives" ranking and awarded a silver shield.
