We hoped to gain many benefits for our region and the school itsef by: improving the language skills of our staff (Maths, Geography, PE, POlish, Civic Eductaion, Polish); development of digital competences to make 21st century eductaion up-to-date and fun thus more effective, to create a perfect environment for the individual growth of a student; improving professional qualifications and burnout prevention. All those listed have always been essential for the school to become an attractive place allowing its staff to develop and as a consequence providing students with quality, all-round inter and multi-disciplinary eductaion. The teacher who aims to implement new strategies, approaches, tools, desires to improve their skills and competences, cooperates in an international envioronment, establishes a network for further projects, seeks for ways to grow and flourish as a professional, this is the one that nurtures their students, greatly influences the level and quality of education, motivates and leads students, encourages and equlises the opportunities in obtaining a well-round eductaion. We wanted our school to find itself in a group of innovative, European, active and engaged ones.
The aim of this project was the improvment of language & digital skills and competences to enhance the effectivness of teaching as well as improvment of professional qualifications of all the teachers thus preventing their burnout. The school being attractive for the students locally and offering high quality standards of eduction means it having a lot to offer, providing students with the chances of holistic development, caring for their needs yet still giving their staff the broad opportunities to acquire new skills, improve the professional qualifications, motivating and preventing burnouts. One determines the other. To make our well-recognized 80-year-old school certain it will be the school of first choice over the school in a bigger city for local students, that its staff of avarage age of 50 and over will rediscover their passion for creative teaching, taking advantage of digital tools and ICT competences thus making learning fun and allowing students to acquire the knowledge about the world in an interantional environment as they are open for such a cooperation with other European partners themselves, we had decided to lauch this project, discussing first our priorities for further development of our school.
