1. To shape students' sensitivity to human harm and suffering caused by violence and inhumane treatment during World War II. 2. Familiarize young people with the history of people who happened to live in concentration camps (examples of Jews of Polish and Greek descent). We wanted the beneficiaries, with their attitude and commitment, to show the tragedy and cruelty of the totalitarian system to their peers from Greece, who have little knowledge of this subject. 3. May the memory of the extermination of the Jewish Nation serve as a warning against the repetition of crimes against humanity. 4. That the beneficiaries from Poland and Greece remember that Jews have been present in our countries for centuries and have created the history of our countries. 5. So that young people can break the language barrier and make new friends. 6. Get to know the history, tradition, customs and cuisine of Greece 7. Familiarize students with the possibilities offered by the Internet and social media We believe that the subject matter of the project brought great benefits to the students of our school and the local community: it gave knowledge and awareness of the dangers, threats resulting from exclusion, xenophobia, intolerance and disrespect.
The School of Economics and General Education is a school with over 70 years of history and tradition. In our facility, we prepare young people for the profession in the following directions: economist technician and sales technician. In addition to the Matura exam, students take a professional exam twice in the education cycle, which gives them specific professional qualifications for future work. Moreover, in the general high school we have classes on innovations: sales and marketing psychology and business manager. Sports championship classes and sports class are very popular. In addition to knowledge, we want to give students proper upbringing. For this purpose, we reached for the pages of history. We have been dealing with the subject of the Holocaust for many years. We want our young people to be aware of the huge drama and cruelty that took place in Europe several decades ago. The main goal of our project was to familiarize the beneficiaries with the subject of the Holocaust, to awaken students' awareness of the dangers and threats resulting from discrimination, prejudice, fanaticism, intolerance, and to sensitize them to the harm of another human being.
