We consider the development of linguistic and communicative competences to be the most important tasks at our Maria Konopnicka Secondary School No. II with Bilingual Branches as a key tool for acquiring knowledge in all its disciplines. Important in this respect is the combination of theory and practice, which is the basis of teaching. In addition, as part of the development of education, the school has two sections of bilingual classes: German and Spanish. Our school has almost 1,000 pupils between the ages of 15 and 19. A large proportion of the pupils are commuters from outside Opole and people of poorer material status or born in Germany. The main focus of our project was to improve the qualifications of our staff and teaching standards, as well as activating pupils by promoting sport and a healthy lifestyle. To this end, we planned two mobilities in the project: 1. the participation of 10 teachers from our school in a two-week overseas in-service training course in Malta 2. the participation of 20 students and 3 tutors in a group mobility to a school in Portugal
