In the years 2022-2024 (academic years 2022/23, 2023/2024), the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Targ took part in the KA131-HED project under the Erasmus+ program. The objectives of the project directly result from the Development Strategy implemented by our university, especially in the field of internationalization of the academy's activities. Our mission is practical education and educating students to meet the needs of the information society and the digitalized economy based on knowledge, capable of creating new social and cultural values in the spirit of universal humanistic ideas. Additionally, we aim to provide the socio-economic environment with highly qualified specialists in selected scientific disciplines in the fields of humanities, social sciences, engineering and technology, medical and health sciences, and natural sciences, who want to engage in social life on a local, regional, national and global scale. On the operational level, this means in relation to students: an increase in the percentage of students going on educational mobilities to partner institutions. This allows them to strengthen their core competencies in an international, often digital environment, while at the same time strengthening the sense of belonging to the European community. Regarding the mobility of employees (academic and administrative staff), we also aim to increase the percentage of staff that have participated in the Erasmus+. Employee mobility is a crucial element of staff development and expands international contacts. In addition to staff development, it also positively affects the quality of student education (improving teaching methods and curricula). Our goal is also to consolidate links with partner institutions of similar profiles in all participating countries, allowing us to undertake various initiatives together.
