Objectives

This accreditation project had the working title 'Get to know yourself' and was the result of a bottom-up initiative by young people from Poland and Lithuania. The aim of the project was to improve the linguistic, social and intercultural competences of the participants in searching for their professional path and hobbies. The project included a mobility in Poland, which lasted 10 days and was attended by 35 participants. The aim of the project was also to strengthen the participants' sense of European-ness, addressing important topics for young people in Europe today. The main theme of the mobility was to get to know themselves better by sharing their passions, interests and being inspired by the passions of the other participants. Nowadays, young people have many opportunities to realise themselves, to develop, but the multitude of opportunities at the same time can create chaos in their lives, it is difficult for them to find their passion, which can lead to risky behaviour that negatively affects their lives. Therefore, through sharing their interests and learning about the passions of their peers, young people had the opportunity to learn about alternative forms of leisure and development and developed activities to inspire the project audience with their passions. All activities were carried out in an international environment and in English, combining the main theme with the opportunity to develop linguistic, cultural and social competences. Among the specific aims of the project are: - to develop linguistic, social, intercultural competences; - to develop creativity in action and ability to work in a group; - to develop self-presentation and active listening skills; - to increase knowledge of European values, to develop attitudes of openness, tolerance, understanding for culturally different people; - to make international friends, acquaintances, share their passions and be inspired by the interests of their fellow participants; - increasing motivation to participate in extracurricular forms of education. The project's objectives with regard to partner organisations were to establish new cooperation, to learn to respond to the needs and expectations of the foreign partner. The Centre for Initiatives increased its competence in implementing and accounting for EU projects, and was able to share its experience as an accredited organisation in the field of youth with its Lithuanian partner Tavo Europa. Partner organisations learned about each other's cultures through constant contact at every stage of project activities, strengthened linguistic, cultural competences. The objectives that have been achieved are compatible with CIL's Internationalisation Strategy.
