Objectives

The 'HUMAN RIGHTS' project was created to respond to the needs of young people in relation to the topic of human rights. Nowadays, more and more is being said about diversity, more often topics related to gender, religion or orientation are raised, but not everyone knows what to do when our rights are violated. Participants observed a need in their countries to improve their knowledge of human rights. The main objective of the project was to equip youth workers with the competences and tools necessary to prevent discrimination, harassment and violence in schools as well as in the workplace. To show what human rights are and what can be done when they are violated, which will have an impact on preventing the spread of violent situations among young people, including those at risk of exclusion or socially excluded. Specific objectives included: - exchange of good practices and methods of working with young people on understanding human rights - to be aware of the risks of human rights violations - learning about and using mechanisms for defending human rights, thereby improving conflict resolution skills - promoting international cooperation The project aimed to raise awareness of the importance of human rights and to teach defence mechanisms in situations of rights violations, thus improving understanding of the society around us and engaging on its behalf. The project was in line with the following objectives set out in the accreditation: Objective 1 To increase the key and professional competences of youth workers and equip them with new tools and methods of non-formal and informal education, thus improving the quality of youth work at local, regional, national, European and international levels by supporting the educational and professional development of youth workers associated with the Foundation. Objective 2 To develop international cooperation, expand networking and exchange of good practice in the operation of NGOs by carrying out projects with new organisations working in the youth field. Objective 5 To promote sustainable development and environmental protection by implementing a minimum of 3 projects in this area and incorporating activities contributing to the reduction of negative environmental impacts in all projects. In addition, it was also an effort to focus on the objectives of the European Union Youth Strategy and to promote European values such as respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, respect for human rights - how to respect and fight for them.
