By joining the project, ECKiW wanted to enable its pupils to participate in an international educational project based on non-formal learning, especially those pupils who have not yet had contact with their peers from other countries, do not know and do not understand other cultures, and therefore enable them to acquire additional knowledge and skills needed on the labour market and in everyday life. By implementing the project, the Center also intended to help both its pupils and participants from partner organizations to become active and motivated, discover new predispositions, strengths, improve their language competences, gain new experience, skills, help to gain additional development opportunities, make friends, provide the opportunity to learn cooperation in an international group. The Centre was also aimed at making young people through active participation in activities strengthen their self-esteem, learn independence, co-responsibility, coping with stressful situations (speaking up, public performance), in situations where differences of opinion arise, in the organization of working time, in learning to function in modern society in the country and abroad. By enabling them to operate in an international environment, we wanted to teach young people how to build intercultural dialogue, help them to develop their interests, skills, revise certain behaviors and attitudes, especially in the context of intercultural diversity, and equalize their opportunities. The Centre wanted to ensure participation in the activities for participants with fewer opportunities – both its pupils and the charges of partner organizations who work with young people studying in vocational schools, come from rural areas, often having problems with learning, economic and social problems. Thanks to their involvement in project activities, these young people can equal opportunities to the European level, show themselves from a different side, open up to opportunities, find peers with whom they can share interests and discover passions, break away from places where they function according to schemes, in a closed environment, encouraged to be active and involved and begin to share their ideas and opinions. Co-decision, implementation of their own ideas that respond to their needs and raising topics important to them engages them more, encourages them to take responsibility for their actions, makes them feel important, appreciated and fulfilled. As an organization, we have many years of experience in the implementation of international projects, which we wanted to share in the project with our partner organizations, at the same time developing our potential and improving the way of working for youth thanks to the joint implementation of the project, using new techniques, methods of action, while increasing the capacity to act at EU level and jointly developing the network of Erasmus+ organizations, strengthening the identification of organizations with programme, promoting the activities carried out and the results achieved and acting together for the benefit of young people. The main objective of the „TIK na TAK” action was to acquire digital competences and the ability to use modern information and communication technologies in the daily lives of young people, integration and mutual understanding between participants from Polish and Lithuania, as well as to strengthen European awareness and build intercultural dialogue. The activity was a response to the young generation's need for free participation in socio-cultural and civic life, personal and professional development and expression through the acquisition of ICT skills. International youth exchange took place on 27.06-04.07.2023. in ECKiW OHP in Roskosz.
