The project "There is no second-hand world" was a common initiative of young people from Poland, Romania, and Lithuania. The production process of clothes negatively affects our Planet. Young people need to become more responsible for the actions that can help the Earth. Through the implementation of a common project, we tried to contribute to the care of the Planet. We showed how, in a simple, creative, and innovative way, you can give a second life to clothes or clothes obtained through the exchange or purchase from second-hand stores and how to use them for the next seasons, stand out with something unique, create your own trends and be environmentally friendly. In creating new outfits, we were inspired by classic and traditional patterns from the cultures of our countries, which we consider beautiful, unique, and worth promoting on a larger scale. We achieved the following aims of the project: - raising awareness and broadening knowledge about threats to the natural environment and climate, as well as the negative consequences resulting from the mass production of clothing in the era of increasing consumerism; - broadening and developing competencies in the field of ecology, environmental protection, and climate change, which help to reduce the buying and throwing away of clothes, in order to re-use them in a creative way and give them a second life; - exchange of experiences and good practices, as well as the development of creativity and innovation by using clothes that are no longer needed and giving them a new, second life, using traditional patterns; - education, development, and promotion of positive change and behavior contributing to the reduction of buying new clothes; altering your clothes / giving them a second life; changing clothes or using second-hand shops, and thus taking care of the surroundings and the natural environment; - strengthening the cultural identity by expanding knowledge about the traditional design of our countries;
