By this project, we aimed to raise awareness on youth work and non-formal education, to enable participants to explore and develop the understanding of the concept and factors of youth work and non-formal learning, to empower young people to grow personally and professionally by exchanging good practices and experiences, tools and methodologies, to provide young people with mentoring and communication skills, and eventually foster the youth participation in participating countries and combat the youth unemployability. This youth exchange took a different approach by gathering youth workers and young people together where youth workers were responsible to conduct sessions alongside the project team and provide young people with skills & knowledge, empowering them to become leaders of tomorrow. We designed this project in a way that young people and newly founded organizations receive necessary knowledge and information on youth work and non-formal education, youth participation and volunteering, EU opportunities and project writing, tools and methodologies. On the last days of the project, participants wrote their own ideas for local actions to be carried out on a local level. This project was a great help for participants to discover youth work and non-formal education, to become aware of such opportunities in Europe and beyond Europe, to improve their skills and knowledge, and to increase their self-efficacy and employability. We wanted to empower participants to become youth workers and take the first step in volunteering & youth work in their community or organization, to keep up with new tools, methodologies and knowledge in this field and to foster youth participation through different projects, activities, and initiatives.
