Through the implementation of the project together with colleagues from abroad, we wanted to learn something useful, original, which would give us new skills and allow us to stand out on the labor market. We all know how hard it is nowadays to work for young people, not only in our country. Lockdown showed us how we were wasting our free time doing nothing useful for ourselves. We wanted to change it to spend it differently in the future. We came to the conclusion, together with foreign groups, that handicrafts are always in the price, have always been and will be fashionable. Therefore, we decided to learn about various handicraft techniques that would allow us to create "hand made" products that we could sell in the future. During the exchange, we focused on making various things such as: bracelets, necklaces, key rings, tapestries, Christmas decorations, using techniques such as Kumihimo disc beading, macramé and jewelry elastic. We believed that each of us has a talent that will reveal itself during the project and will be developed after its completion. The main objective of our project was: - to develop entrepreneurship and creativity; - improving the competences and skills of project participants; - intercultural education; - developing critical thinking and a sense of initiative in young people; -showing alternative methods of spending free time; - integration with the local community; -social inclusion and active participation of young people; - overcoming language and cultural barriers; - deepening knowledge of the culture, art and customs of other countries; - better knowledge of foreign languages; - developing decision-making, planning and engagement skills; - strengthening values such as solidarity and friendship. We wanted as many people as possible to benefit from our project. Therefore, at the end of the exchange, we shared our newly acquired knowledge with the local community and organized handicraft workshops combined with an exhibition of our works. These workshops were held at the Primary School. 11 November in Ruś and the Branch in Bartag with the participation of children and teenagers. After the exhibition, we donated all the handicrafts created to charity to serve others. During the exchange, we also created 2 tutorials on handicraft techniques, which are now used by others to learn and develop new manual skills.
