The idea for the project emerged during a youth exchange that took place in Tarnów in November 2021. The participants included individuals who would become members of the Polish and Lithuanian groups during the current project. During one of the workshops, a spontaneous discussion arose among the participants regarding the situation of young people in the job market in their respective countries. The participants collectively concluded that they were concerned about whether job hunting in the future would be convenient for them and that they might not be ready for what employers expected from them. After the exchange concluded, a discussion group was formed on Facebook regarding ideas for the next project. Its participants suggested inviting individuals from different parts of Europe to collaborate, allowing for a comparison of the job market situation in diverse economies. This led us to the conclusion that a project focusing on the job market and future competencies would be created, as it evidently was a problem for young people in Europe. We recognized the need for educational activities concerning the development of digital skills among young people and how digital transformation could change the job market, contributing to reducing the negative impact of humans on climate change. The project also aimed to show young people the opportunities that technology currently provides in finding well-paying, interesting online work, regardless of whether one lives in a large city or a small village. Additionally, developing one's passions and the possibility of participating in courses created by people living on the other side of the globe were also aspects of the project.
