Objectives

The "TECH-YOUTH: Young Digital Nomads" project was implemented by 37 young people representing partner organizations from Romania, Slovakia, Greece, Spain and Lithuania, and our Polish team was the coordinator. All groups involved in the preparation and implementation of the project participated in its implementation and actively cooperated to achieve the goals and objectives of our activities described in the application. Each of the youth groups involved in our exchange fulfilled their obligations and assigned tasks, and all participants devoted their free time, showed ambition and commitment, contributed to our cooperation groups. The inspiration for our project, which we expressed in the title of the activity, was the phenomenon of adopting a lifestyle, study and work known as remaining a "digital nomad". Over the last 2-3 years, as young people, we have almost been forced to become a kind of digital nomads, cut off from direct contact with our peers by the Covid-19 pandemic and forced to transfer our lives and activities to the digital space. The phenomenon of "digital nomads", although often identified in the media with freedom, opportunities for development and freedom, is also, in our opinion, certain threats that we have experienced directly in recent years. Not all of us remember the period of the pandemic and digital existence well. The development of information technology means opportunities for development, new possibilities but also threats and negative phenomena such as deprivation of social competences and loss of bonds with peers, exposure to online hate and addiction to information (F.o.m.o) or deterioration of our mental health and well-being through social isolation. . We wanted to tackle this issue, so working together with all partners, we prepared a project whose goals were as follows: GOAL: Increasing the knowledge, awareness and competences of project participants regarding the possibilities, opportunities and threats related to the use of digital tools, social media and the Internet. Support among participants of competences and attitudes necessary to consciously use broadly understood "information technology" to achieve their life, educational and professional goals, as well as to avoid or counteract the threats associated with these tools. OBJECTIVES: -increase competence in the conscious use of digital tools by participants to achieve their life and educational goals, - supporting knowledge about negative phenomena such as the FOMO syndrome, cyber-bulling and hate-speech and strengthening participants' attitudes to assertively oppose these phenomena, -supporting experiences and competences regarding the conscious use of digital devices, safely for us and with respect for the rights and dignity of other people, -increase in social inclusion, civic activity and development of participants' interpersonal competences by supporting the skillful and conscious use of our free time both online and in the "real" world. - development of experience, competences and skills related to the preparation and implementation of projects and international cooperation.
