Objectives

The motivation to implement our project was the observation of a significant increase in the incidence of mental health problems among young people. This was directly related to the isolation and online lessons caused by the pandemic. We feel a significant decrease in well-being on our own skin. The main goal of our project was to make young people with problems aware that their situation can be changed. We wanted to point out places where you can get help. We wanted to give advice on how to counteract the negative effects of the pandemic and deal with mental health problems. The aim of our project was also in line with the current strategy of the Erasmus+ programme. Our project was aimed at our peers, at European youth. For this reason, the main channel of communication and content transfer that we have developed has been social media. The main goal of our project was to identify and then publicize the problem of mental health of young people. We focused on three methods of achieving this goal: 1. AWARENESS - Young people often feel bad. They find themselves in difficult situations and toxic relationships. They are exposed to being with people who transfer their problems to others. They can't cope with learning, with their peers, with themselves. Such phenomena cause frustration, stress and bad emotions among young people. Due to our young age, we ourselves, as well as our peers, are not fully able to cope with what we feel. We experience some emotions or mental states for the first time. Negative feelings lead in extreme cases to acts of desperation or mental illness, and all this can weigh on our future. Our goal was therefore to make young people aware of the problem that the situation they are in is "pathological" and that it can be changed. 2. ACTION - Once the young person is aware that there is a problem, they can be put on the road to solving the situation. We wanted to promote among our recipients places where you can get help and steps to be taken to receive such help. 3. TOOLS - During the project, we developed and shared simple methods and tools to help our peers cope with negative emotions, in difficult situations, when the situation is not so serious that it requires a visit to a specialist.
