Objectives

The main goal of our project was to increase our ability to cope with stress. In life, we often encounter many situations or people that cause us stress. However, stress usually limits our possibilities. Not only is it an unpleasant feeling, but it also paralyzes our decisions, destroys harmony and order, limits the effectiveness of our actions, and leads to distance from other people. Sometimes it can cause panic, depression, stomach ulcers, etc. The recent COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated this problem. It caused fear with many of its negative effects, increased distrust of people, limited our social contacts and interpersonal skills. The need to isolate moved a large part of our activity to the Internet, where the situation is no better in this respect. The ubiquitous hate and unlimited anonymous criticism harm many people in a way that is invisible to those around them. When we become victims of such treatments, we are often left alone with the problems we encounter. We accumulate negative emotions and explode when we stop dealing with them. We react increasingly inadequately to the situations we encounter. For this reason, we wanted to take a closer look at the topic of stress in order to deal with it better, learn prevention methods, and maybe even learn how to use it. In the project, we intended to learn about the mechanisms of stress, its course and effects, the possibilities of its prevention and various stress relief and reduction techniques. During the implementation of the project, it turned out that the topic of stress, reinforced by the pandemic, became even more relevant for some of us due to the war in Ukraine. Hence, participation in the project has become even more important, and its results will have a greater impact on our lives.
