Objectives

Through the project entitled 'Incubator of Ecology', the aim was to strengthen pro-environmental attitudes among the participants, to increase their motivation in terms of ecological activity and an ecological lifestyle, and to strengthen their knowledge in these areas, which was also achieved due to the fact that the project originated from a bottom-up initiative by young people supported by our organisation. The project also aimed to develop in the exchange participants a deep ecological awareness, which in the future will have an impact not only on themselves, but also on their surroundings, peers and friends. Through the international exchange it was possible to learn about ecological activities undertaken in Poland and Turkey, and this knowledge is used by the participants in their daily lives and has broadened the scope of the project partners' activities. The project also aimed to increase practical environmental skills and knowledge among the participants. The joint consolidation of knowledge, verification of information gained and exchange of views allowed the participants to find confidence in their own proficiency and in their environmental actions. The partner organisations were committed to helping the young people with this project, recognising the commitment, willingness and globally important social and environmental issue. The project also aimed, through the implementation of the main theme, to strengthen and develop the social, interpersonal, linguistic competences of the participants as well as the organisational competences of the partner organisations. FIL had the opportunity to prove itself as the receiving organisation, while CEKDEV had the opportunity to prove itself as the sending organisation. The Polish-Turkish project thus contributed to: strengthening pro-environmental attitudes among young people; increasing motivation for an ecological lifestyle; increasing knowledge of ecology and environmental protection; gaining skills to work in an international team; strengthening self-confidence and the ability to cope with stress; establishing international contacts and friendships; finding perspectives for further development and self-improvement; Polish-Turkish integration; strengthening attitudes of tolerance, openness to other people and different views. It was also the aim of the project that the young people, especially as they initiated the activity themselves, should take an active part in it and be involved in all activities at every stage. Through this, it is possible to teach young people self-reliance, civic-mindedness, creativity and how to manage their own time. The project was an opportunity to exchange experiences and views, to express opinions, and to find compromises and solutions together. The leitmotif of the project was issues related to ecology, environmental protection and the idea of 'zero waste', i.e. not wasting - resources, food, energy, which is an extremely important topic and problem in contemporary Europe and the world.
