Objectives

The aim of the project 'Youth Say - Green Deal' was to realise a youth exchange that would bring together 6 representatives from different EU and partner countries to discuss and share experiences on local and global environmental issues of today and try to find solutions to these problems together. The main aim of the project was to make the young participants aware of the importance of the 5Rs principle: (refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose and recycle), to reflect on this and to find solutions together. The project aimed to make participants realise that global solutions and action should start with our own community to prevent an environmental disaster in the future. The project involved young people representing 6 different cultures meeting and interacting. It was important to understand and accept the habits and cultures of others during the interaction and meetings. Our aim was not only to learn about the culture of the other participants, but also to discuss topics concerning our daily life, environmental pollution, because there are good examples such as Denmark, but there are still many bad examples, and we are all part of our planet and we need to find solutions together. The main objectives of the Youth Say - Green Deal project are: - To identify and share similarities and differences in practices in different countries in terms of reduction, reuse and recycling. - Encourage everyone to actively participate in protecting and improving the environment. - To raise awareness about reduction, reuse and recycling through the creation of films - Strengthen the sense of responsibility and raise awareness among young people about their impact on the environment. - To provide opportunities to meet with partners and develop concrete ideas for future projects focusing on environmental issues. - To increase awareness of the exchange's main theme of the environment and the importance of the 5Rs principle (refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose and recycle). - Support young people to increase their knowledge of the Erasmus+ programme and youth exchange projects in order to develop new projects in the future. - Creating professional videos and actively using social media to reach as many people as possible to present the results of our project and promote the Erasmus+ programme. This exchange was to raise awareness of not only the 5Rs(refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose and recycle) principle, but also to focus on environmental protection, the pollution humans create with the things we produce and consume every day, waste selection and waste disposal.
