The "Ecohero in uniform" project was a meeting of young people from Lithuania, Poland and the Czech Republic, who, based on their previous uniformed experiences in Erasmus + projects such as: "Uniform for tolerance" and "Volunteers for the win!" and the pandemic situation created a vision for a new project. Together with the youth, we discussed the significant role of uniformed services in helping other people, saving health, fighting the epidemic and the degradation of the natural environment. The project was intended to show that representatives of the uniformed services are eco-heroes who have a sense of responsibility for our planet, promote a healthy lifestyle, and take action to prevent potential ecological threats at the local, regional and global level. Young people learned what volunteering is in terms of the work of uniformed services, gained information about human rights, deepened their cultural awareness and developed their language competences. The project was intended to show that uniformity is a way of life, helping others, limiting threats and devastation of the natural environment, shaping the personality of children and young people and their social attitudes towards ecology. The project allowed us to understand how a uniform can be helpful in the fight for our planet.
