We all communicate. That is one of the characteristics of human beings and helped us create a civilisation we know. We do it on a daily basis, every day. But often, we do not think about how to do it. We follow patterns that do not serve us anymore. We have conflicts that could be easily avoided if we had more knowledge on how to communicate. We do not know how to express our emotions, needs or have better relationships with ourselves and others. Except for this communication is one of the essential skills for young people. It is among 4C – four of the most important skills requested by employers in the modern labour market. But even if it is so important, most youngsters never had an opportunity to have training on communication. It is not taught in formal educations institutions. This project answered the need we noticed. The training course aimed to introduce participants to principles of empathic communication and, in a safe space, practice empathic communication skills. We achieved the abovementioned aim by the following objectives: - To introduce participants with assumptions of emphatic communication - To provide a space where participants can explore their feeling and needs - To reflect on ways of communicating with people on a daily basis - To reflect on relationships with others and with self - To train multiplicators who shared emphatic communication principles in their local community with young people - To create a space for establishing new international partnerships in the field of soft skills.
