Objectives

Implementation of the project was a response to the increase in extremism and radical attitudes among young people in local communities 10 partner organizations, e.g. from the Roma community, in Jordan there were conflicts between young people of different religions, in Italy, young people of Arab origin had great problems with finding their first job, despite having competences not lower than their peers born in the country. On the other hand, youth migrant attending classes conducted by partner organizations had numerous educational and social problems related to integration with the local community (resulting mainly from insufficient knowledge of the language of the host country, cultural differences, difficulties in adapting to the new reality). The result of the state of affairs described above is more and more often the radicalization of young people in extremist directions. On the one hand, it manifests itself in migrants blaming the local community for their failures, and on the other hand, in the reluctance of the local community towards migrants. In order to prevent the escalation of such phenomena in our local communities, we decided to implement a project aimed at developing schemes and methods of working with young migrants in our local communities, which will support them in achieving educational and professional successes, in integration and assimilation with local community. The aim of the project was to strengthen the competences of the staff of our organizations that provide support to young migrants in their everyday lives, so that this support is as effective as possible and allows migrants to fully find themselves in a new country and a new reality, to become part of the local community. The main goals of the project were: 1. Support for the positive involvement of young people of migrant origin in public life in local communities of the host countries (including equipping employees of 10 organizations working with young migrants on a daily basis with tools to support and activate migrants in their educational, professional and social development, motivating them for continuous development despite temporary failures, noticing and promoting their small successes in the local community). 2. Supporting the development of entrepreneurial competences among young people of migrant origin in order to promote self-employment and self-esteem (including equipping employees of 10 organizations working with young migrants on a daily basis with tools and action strategies to support the ingenuity of migrants and to use their talents on local labor markets ). 3. Promoting diversity, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights (drawing attention to these values of employees of 10 organizations working with young migrants on a daily basis, as well as showing them a strategy that they will be able to implement in their organizations in to ensure better communication and cooperation with young people of migrant background). 4. Development of a practical set of tools to support young migrants in crisis situations, to be implemented by employees of 10 organizations working with young migrants on a daily basis. 5. Development of digital competences by 30 employees from 10 organizations working with youth of migrant origin. 6. Development of language competences by 30 employees from 10 organizations working with youth of migrant origin, including efficient communication and cooperation in English, within international teams. 7. Raising the level of intercultural competences (including managing international and interethnic teams, dealing with crisis and conflict situations, methods of efficient communication in an intercultural team). 8. Developing the potential of 10 partner organizations from 10 countries in the field of international activities undertaken for youth and improving the situation of young migrants.
