Objectives

We decided to create this project because we want to expand our cooperation with regions that generate much less opportunities for young people. Our statutory goals include supporting young people in various fields and as an organization composed of many young people, we want to promote equal opportunities for young people, educate informally and through experience (experiental learning). We have been operating for over 2 years and we experience how much educational trips abroad as part of various programs change our volunteers and informal groups with whom we cooperate on a daily basis by creating projects. The subject of the trip itself is a driving force for changes among young people. But we also notice an important element in the journey itself, preparation, experience, meeting new people, integration and looking for solutions in difficult situations. Young people learn to manage their time, budget and their own tasks. Thanks to this type of program, young people learn to be responsible for the decisions they have made. When working with young people, we notice very large disproportions in possibilities. Unfortunately, we identify a lot of barriers that prevent young people from fully taking advantage of educational opportunities outside school / university. As an organization, we have the resources and capabilities to generate many more opportunities for people with greater needs. The project will include people who experience: - Social obstacles: young people experiencing discrimination (based on gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, etc.), young people with limited social skills or anti-social or risky sexual behavior, vulnerable young people, adolescent parents, orphans , young people from broken families, youth leaving orphanages and foster families, etc. - Economic obstacles: young people with a low standard of living, low family income, dependent on the social welfare system, with families in debt or with financial problems, etc. - Educational difficulties: young people with learning difficulties, early school leavers and school leavers, people with low or unskilled qualifications, young people who do not fit into the school system, young people with low achievements due to different culture / language background, etc. . - Cultural differences: young immigrants or refugees or descendants from immigrant or refugee families, young people belonging to a national or ethnic minority, young people with problems of linguistic adaptation and cultural integration, etc. - Health problems: young people with chronic health problems - Geographical obstacles: young people from remote, rural or hilly areas, young people from urban problem zones, young people from less served areas (limited public transport, poor facilities, abandoned villages ...) etc. Project goals: - getting to know Europe and the possibilities offered by various European programs -degrading social and professional competences -learning through experience (trip carried out in the Kolb cycle) -encouraging young people to learn languages and maintain intercultural contacts with other European and world citizens - teaching what European integration is and how the EU wants to build relationships between young people - counteracting stereotypes - getting to know the history of Europe and the political context -inspiring young people to travel eco, as well as to use interesting solutions during the trip - learning to manage time, budget, group, tasks, project - learning responsibility for the action taken - learning to care for the safety of yourself and your group -support for those who, due to social, economic and geographical barriers, cannot get to know Europe and participate in programs -initiating and strengthening the development of competencies and skills of young people with fewer opportunities to participate in DiscoverEU. -strengthening the position of young people on the professional and social market - ensuring equal access to education and opportunities -including people who would not volunteer to participate in Discover eu - promotion of the program, as well as showing young people where to look for information about the possibilities -expanding cooperation with rural regions and small towns -exchange of experiences related to social and civic activity -taking young people out of the environment in which they live on a daily basis and showing them other corners of Europe. The project consists of four phases: planning, preparation, implementation and follow-up. The participating organizations and the young people involved in the activities will play an active role in all these phases, thus increasing their learning, cognition and experiential experience. The project aims to comprehensively strengthen the participants and overcome their barriers and raise their position on the labor market and self-esteem.
