Participation in the ERASMUS Program is part of the long-term development strategy of APS which includes international exchange. The main objectives of the project were: opening up to mobility from so-called “third countries”, implementing student and academic staff mobility, allowing for the mutual exchange of experiences, but also increasing the internationalization of our university. As this was a new experience for us, we decided to choose Grinchenko University in Kiev, with which our university signed a mutual cooperation agreement (exchange of academic staff, participation in courses and training) several years ago. As part of the ERASMUS Program, four lecturers came to us for training purposes and two students came to study for one semester. This number of mobilities was lower than we had originally indicated in our application. We received funding for one outgoing mobility for teaching purposes, but no lecturer interested in such mobility applied to us. Finally, we submitted a change to the original agreement to the Agency in order to transfer the budget allocated for exchange with the Russian Federation to support mobility with Ukraine.
