Objectives

Since its inception, the University of Warsaw (UW) has played a significant role in the intellectual, cultural, economic, and political life of the country. It is one of the highest-ranked universities in the Central and Eastern Europe, internationally recognized thanks to its high quality, innovative education and research. What distinguishes us is our ambitious, talented staff and high didactic and research potential. Since 1998, UW has actively participated in EU programmes, including Erasmus+. The aim of joining the KA171 project was to support academic mobility by offering students, doctoral candidates, academic teachers and non-academic staff the opportunity to study and/or gain professional experience in countries participating in the Programme. Students developed language skills, independence, intercultural awareness, improved their employability. Staff acquired knowledge about educational systems in other countries, enhanced professional competencies, deepened their understanding of cultural and linguistic diversity, increased motivation and job satisfaction. It was planned to realise 24 mobilities for students and doctoral candidates and 38 mobilities for staff. In total, 57 mobilities were realised.
